These cards are made of a very nice heavy weight cardboard. They are definitely some of the strongest/stiffest flashcards I've come across. The touch and feel aspect of these is great and really help to make these cards more interactive. I really like the questions on the back of each flashcard. None of the questions are exactly amazing, "never would have thought of that" type questions, but being a mom of a toddler has certainly scrambled my brain and these guides really help. It also lists the name of each animal in 4 different foreign languages on the back. Cool. My son is not so interested in these yet, but I can tell that they will grow with him. Fabulous cards and definitely worth the price. I'm very happy with this product.

Love these. Started doing them before bed with my son when he was 6 months old. He loves them and now he knows them in English & French. Phonetic on back of cards!

I bought these cards for my 18-month old son just as he was starting to say words, in an effort to teach him new words. I originally bought Baby Einstein cards and was very disappointed. I really like these cards. They don't need to have the touch and feel part, but it okay they do. The animals on the cards look like animals and are not animations. Also they are a good distribution of animals. The card are pretty durable and not that easy to bend. The one thing I would change since my son is younger is that a puppy be a dog and a kitten a cat. Just because he is learning those words and does not understand baby animals yet. I liked these cards so much I bought other sets.

First I purchased the baby Einstein flash cards but I notice that the cards were too busy and my son couldn't focus on one object. He ended up just chewing on the cards. Then I purchased DK Publishing brand which are more simple. Now my baby focuses on the object and points to it with his finger, then chews on the cards.
Over all this is a great product for kids ages 5 months and up.
